Tl* the contact owns a 2014 ram 3500. While driving 60 MPH, the contact lost control of the steering and caused the vehicle to be rear ended by another vehicle. In turn, the other vehicle was also rear ended by a third vehicle. The contact was able to park the vehicle on the right side of the road. The air bags did not deploy. The rear of the vehicle was damaged. The contact was not injured; however, five rear passengers in the other two vehicles were injured and received medical attention.
I was involved in a head-on collision at 35 MPH and the vehicle that struck me was traveling at 50MPH. None of the airbags in my vehicle deployed and this has me very concerned.
Vehicle is a 2014 ram 3500 turbo diesel. The computer systems have required numerous updates and have failed 3 times when travelling. The brakes failed when new and a computer update fixed that after I had an accident. The PCM engine controller failed at 20,000 and shut us down while towing a large 5th wheel. In july 2016 the PCM failed and the def would not feed; again broken down with a large 5th wheel attached to the truck.
Suspension is insufficient for weight of engine creating a dangerous steering situation while in motion on any surface on or off road, straight ahead or turning. Cummings 6.7l engine is twice the weight of the hemi engine normally mounted on this 1500 ram suspension system
