Consumer's friend called & stated that vehicle was in an accident and consumer died. He and a friend were driving on a dirt road and they were turning around the corner and hit a curb, back wheelcaught gravel inside of the wheel and the truck turned over. Driver was thrown though the sun roof. Upon impact, dual airbags didn't deploy. Passenger was thrown outside of the window. Driver was a fatality.
I was driving on the highway at about 45 to 50 miles per hour speed on a slightly wet road. All of the sudden, the vehicle started to skidded out of control and hit the highway divider wall(guardrail) on the right front of the driver side and rolled over and spinned 50 feet away before the vehicle stopped. Dual air bags did not deploy.
Frame rusted in front of both rear tires load bearing area. Toyota refuses any warranty or acknowledgement of this safety problem on truck frames used on suv's. Tacoma frames all recalled for same reason. Toyota still states not to undercoat when purchase is new or to rust prevent at any warranty/preventive maintenance inspection. Consumer put at risk to a problem only observable from a lift, and told to spend thousands of dollars in repairs or total loss, and will not sell the frame even at five thousand dollars.
