Consumer states while driving at 55MPH vehicle was broad sided, and consumer couldn't shut vehicle off or remove the keys from the ignition after being hit. Nlmthe cruise control on the vehicle never shut off causing consumer to collide head on with another vehicle and hitting a tree head on. The motor caught on fire after the incident.
1994 toyota camry, uncontrolled acceleration on I-540 norht west arkansas about 2 years ago. Cruise control was on, hit brakes and car sped up. Put in neurtal and turned engine off. Later the switch on the brake/tail light / cruise disconnect was replaced. I have had no other incident since. Hope this may help.
