Britax car seat. Advocate 70-g3. Manufacturer 01/2013.complaining of top latch component! We have owned this car seat for 3 years and never had an accidentwith it untilnow. We were sitting at a red light and got rear ended by a big pick up truck smashing our trunk in and lifting our back end off the ground. Our one year old who was in this car seat was rear facing and latched in correctly wearing a light fleece (no puffy jacket.. We are very careful to follow every car seat rule).

Cable to open automatic door broke was told this is not covered in the latch system recall. Vehicle was stationary at time of cable break. Also back up camera doesn't work properly and touch screen raido/back up camera continue to reset itself when driving

Reported at 30,000 miles, March 2019

While driving in the mountains and curving right, the stability control activated the brakes. The car was not speeding and the roads were dry. It happened 3 times in one trip. The braking action made it difficult to complete the turn. Plus the decrease in speed was a danger to the occupants plus the car behind us. Other curves did not activate the stability control so it was a guess as to when and if this would happen. Did make it back safely.
