What owners wrote
A few complaints as filed, shortened and with personal details removed. The first ones are among the most serious reports for this model year; the rest are typical.
Vehicle involved damage front and left frontal area. Speed 40-45 MPH. No frontal or side curtain air bag and curtain deployment. Failure of collision warning system and electronical indicators, ABS did not deploy.
Burning excessive oil and not giving a warning light. Driving down the highway when I heard a knock coming from the car so I stopped checked everything and noticed there was no oil on the dip stick and I just changed the oil 5 weeks ago. The engine now knocks and can barely be driven.
Recall notice sent and received by myself. An appointment was made for corrective action by the dealer. When car brought for service on scheduled date, was told that the corrective part was no longer available, and there was no time frame for stock replacement to correct the the recall issue by volvo. Unknown when this would take place. No corrective action received by the dealer or volvo.
