What owners wrote
A few complaints as filed, shortened and with personal details removed. The first ones are among the most serious reports for this model year; the rest are typical.
While driving at 43 MPH in a head on collision driver's side air bag didn't deploy, only the passenger side did. This accident resulted in serious injuries to driver and passenger.
While driving at or about 60 MPH vehicle was involved in head on collision and the aisbags did not deploy. Manuifacturer was contacted.
No deployment of driver's/passenger's air bag during a collision. Also front passenger's seat fell back upon impact, causing passenger (wife) to slip under the seat belts. Hit the dashboard and sustained injuries.
In a "panic stop " situation the ABS controller modulated and reduced very significantly the braking effort when the driver slammed on the brakes on dry pavement. While braking the driver also maneuvered into the k rail to reduce speed and almost avoided a collision. The air bags did not deploy and were not needed as the final crash was at low speed.

After inspection, he noticed that the tie rod bolt was fractured on the steering rack. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure nor was the vehicle diagnosed or repaired. The current and failure mileages were 130,931. The VIN was unavailable.
