What owners wrote
The 4wheel drive, u/joints and drive train have gone out on the truck 4 times, the electrical system has never worked right from day one and has been taken into dealer several times with complaints but never fixed (autolocks on doors and windows don't work after heavy rain or wet, heavy snow storm) the last time the 4wheel drive went out, the front drivers wheel flew off the truck while traveling on the highway. Lug nuts and posts were not loose nor sheared off.
Tl*the contact owns a 1993 ford f150. While driving between 1-50 MPH with the 4 wheel drive activated, the transfer case popped out of gear and went into neutral. The vehicle's speed decreased. The manufacturer stated that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign id number 93v089000 (power train:transfer case (4-wheel drive). The current and failure mileages were 220,000. Updated 03-04-08 the transfer case shifted into neutral without input from the driver. Updated
