Tl*the contact owns a 2007 ford mustang. While driving between 6- 10 MPH, the contact rear ended another vehicle. The seat belt retractor failed and both air bags failed to deploy. The contact's head struck the windshield and the entire front end of the vehicle ended up in her lap. She sustained burns to her legs. A police report was filed. The local dealer stated that because the speed was low at the time of the crash, the air bags did not deploy and the seat belt retractor did not retract.
Since february 2017, I have written regularly via email with the service manager of pacifico ford of philadelphia pa about having NHTSA recall 16v384 (passenger airbag) applied to my vehicle, a 2007 mustang shelby gt. Over a period of 17 months, I have noticed responses that indicate the dealer is either overwhelmed with these inquiries, is having trouble getting parts to satisfy the government's recall, or is otherwise unwilling or unable to perform them.
