My son was killed in a rollover accident on 4/18/06. He was ejected through the driver's side door in which the top part of the door was pulled away from the roof of the car during the rollover. By looking at the tire tracks of the accident, he was just entering the on ramp of the road and the tracks show no skid marks, swerving, etc, just a straight line into the ditch as if he didnt have control of the steering or brakes, possible stalling ?? Both tires on the driver's side were flattened.
Tl* the contact owns a 2005 GMC envoy. While driving 50 MPH, the contact discovered a burning odor. The contact attempted to lower the window and noticed that the power switch from the window was hot. The contact disconnected the power switch. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed as a switch. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and referred the contact to call NHTSA. The failure mileage was 130,300.
Gas gauge has not worked since 2007. Headlights and some dash lights as well as ext temp gauge sometimes flicker. No positive response from dealer for gas gauge. Was initially told headlights were supposed to do this, a "feature". I asked them to document this for me, they said they would look at it. Replace body control module, no change. Said it could be this or that, but out of warranty at my expense. I told them I would pay for it, but if it did not fix the problem I would not.
