Vehicle was stopped in left turn lane when impacted head on by smaller car oncoming traffic. Vehicle was knocked back approximately 40 feet and 16 feet side ways. Neither airbag deployed or seat belt locked to prevent driver from impacting steering wheel and dash board, resulting in face ,chest, arm, and leg injuries.
As far as I know the truck went around corner and veered off the road in to a snow bank due to black ice and into a tree on passenger side of truck .it was a hard hit and the air bags did not work .when I get the accident report I will put exact speed.
Two things started to happen 1. The truck when coming to a stop of a speed of less then 25 MPH started to lose its brakes and feel spongy. This continued until I got it in the shop which was about two days. 2. The truck started to run very rough and the engine light was coming on at the same time as well. After I got it in the shop and they got it up on a lift they found that all of the brake lines and fuel lines were all most rusted through and starting to leak.
Brake line rusted into other lines are rusty also truck had been kept in garage for at least 6 years only drove on beach maybe 5 times always washed off afterwards.lines should have been s/s
