What owners wrote
Consumer purchased a 2000 jeep wrangler and was informed that brakes were new and in good condition. Upon putting vehicle in park parking brake did not hold and had to be adjusted. The consumer stated he was involved in an accident when he attempted to apply the brakes, but the vehicle didn't stop. The front pinion seal was replaced and the battery was replaced because it was leaking.
When driving on a wet or a sandy road surface, the vehicle could not be stopped without placing the vehicle in neutral. This occurred because the rear wheels kept turning. The vehicle was serviced 3 times by different mechanics, and all of the brake components were replaced, but the failure still recurred. The problem was also really bad on snow or ice.
