When parking at friends house with steep slopping yard could not get car stopped prior to hitting tree stump. Impact was front bumper right of center. Airbag on passenger side deployed but fail to keep passenger from hitting and cutting top of head on sun visor and wind shield resulting in 25 staples to top of head. When bag deployed it never went higher than where it came out of dash then instantly fell towards floor.
Vancouver, canada on september 30, 2010 the brakes on my 2010 nissan rogue failed to engage at low speed and resulted in an accident. Before the accident, I noticed sporadic brake failure a couple of times. The car was purchased new from the dealer on april 10, 2010.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 nissan rogue. The contact was driving approximately 10 MPH when the vehicle was involved in a crash in which the air bags were deployed. The deployment of the air bags resulted in major injuries to the driver. The police appeared on the scene and the driver was taken by ambulance to the hospital to treat major injuries. A police report was available. The vehicle was towed to an independent repair shop but was not examined for the cause of failure.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 nissan rogue. The contact was attempting to accelerate from a complete stop yet the vehicle would not respond. The contact abruptly depressed the accelerator pedal into the floorboard yet the vehicle would not accelerate over 5 MPH. The vehicle was shut off and resumed normal operation when restarted. The dealer performed a diagnostic and determined that the CVT valve body would need replacing. The vehicle was left with the dealer where the contact was awaiting repairs.
Airbag system goes off (indicator light come on) while having a passenger weight about 115lb in the front passenger seat. Called nissan and was told the weight limit for sensor to come on is around 110lb. Service person suggested shifting the position or posture of the passenger would resolve. It is bad idea to have your love ones who is round 110 lb not to be able to sit in the front. Nissan should have brought this up before we bought the car.
