Bolt holding down spare tire in trunk sheared off during crash, causing spare tire to be thrown against rear seat back. Lack of reinforcement caused rear seat back to bow forward several inches, killing three children. All three children were wearing seat belts and died of internal injuries caused by force of the seat back squeezing against fixed seat belts. *slc
While the vehicle was in park, with no keys in the ignition, a small child grabbed the gear shifter. With only slight pressure, the vehicle slipped out of gear and rolled backwards down a hill, wedging a 16 year old female in the rear driver's side door, then pinning the female between two vehicles. The female was pronounced dead at a local hospital several hours later, as a result of the injuries received from the vehicle.
Tl*the contact owns a 1993 ford crown victoria. While driving 70 MPH, the rivets from the hood latch loosened and the hood flew up and crashed through the windshield. The windshield shattered and splinters of glass struck the contact's face. The hood also placed a dent in the top of the vehicle, which would cost $200 to repair. She was able to pull the vehicle off the road and tied the hood down. She drove the vehicle to a body shop.
