What owners wrote

My 2005 ford f150 just dropped the driver side window down into the door due to the poorly designed faulty window regulator. From searching the web this is a well known defect that is abundant in f150's. This is a safety hazard as this happened in rush hour traffic and I thought I had been shot at and drove off the road into a ditch and banged my shoulder. This is well known to be an issue and is a major safety hazard. This needs to be recalled before someone gets killed!

Reported at 31,003 miles, November 2008 Injury

Window fell down (from a fully up position) into driver-side door while in heavy traffic. Sound resembled a gun-shot which distracted my attention from the road and nearly caused an accident. Research shows this to be a common failure in southern and western states due to heat-related component failures. Repairs have not been made at this time due to high cost of parts and labor. Vehicle only has 36k miles and has been very well taken care of and serviced regularly.
