Tl* the contact owns a 2015 ford fusion energi. While the vehicle was charging, the plug melted into the wall at the contact's home. The contact received a recall notification for NHTSA campaign number: 18v592000 (equipment). The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The vehicle was taken to west hills ford (1100 oyster bay ave s, bremerton, wa 98312) and they stated that the part was not available. The vehicle was not repaired.
I parked my car, turned off the push button ignition, exited the vehicle, locked it and walked into starbucks. Halfway into the store I heard a crash sound, turned and didn't see my car. It had rolled from where I parked it across a parking lot and hit a parked vehicle. It easily could have hit and hurt or even killed a pedestrian. When I got into my car I noticed I had inadvertently left it in drive.
The display in the dashboard shows the message "temporary lost communication with the climate system", and locks the windows, the vents stop working, no air is coming through. In addition, the cross traffic warning stops working, as well.
While driving my vehicle the vehicle jerked and suddenly lost all power. I coasted as safely as possible to the right lane as soon as I had a 'stop safely now' message blink on my instrument panel. I attempted to turn my car back on but couldn't. After a few attempts I was able to turn it back on only to have the same jerk movement and light come on. I coasted once again to the furthest right lane before attempting once more to restart the car. After another short lived take off I coasted to a parking lot.
