Ltrs FM c. Mechand, j.lawrence, l brady(va) request an investigation re steering wheel locking up at speeds over 40 MPH... There were two deaths.
While coasting out of car wash vehicle slid on ice, bumped into vacuum. At that time, both airbags deployed. There was no noticable damage to the vehicle or plat form. The consumer believes the air bag system must have been defective to have deployed without impact.
Consumer was involved in a collision. Was hit from the rear by another vehicle travelling 40MPH. Both driver's and passenger's seats snapped all the way back to the reclined position.*akjlg
2 days earlier had car at mechanic and he said my pads were a little low so they shoould be changed. The day I had the appointmnet to replace the pads the rear caliper frozen open and emergency brake would not work either. While in my driveway with foot on brake pedal, car started rolling forward. Hit post in driveway and tore off driver mirror and dented door.
I recently bought a 01 mustang with 103k miles on it. Not 2 days later the passenger seat belt stopped working. I took it down to our local ford house and they told me it was just odd that it happened to break and would cost 300 dollars to change the seat belt. I did some research online and find that many people have this problem. Either the seat belt locks up and takes a while to straiten back out or like mine it just stops working. One post on a forums said that his 2003 mustang's went out before 50000 miles.
