Tl* the contact owns a 2011 ford mustang. While slowing down to make a left turn at approximately 5 MPH, another vehicle crashed into the front driver side of the contact's vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. The contact sustained injuries to the neck, back, knee, and head that required medical attention. Additionally, three passengers that were in the other vehicle also sustained unknown injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed.

6 speed manual transmission fails to shift or shift smoothly into 2nd gear causing a safety situation in attempting to pull out in traffic. Went to pull out in traffic and could not shift into 2nd, traffic was bearing down and I had to quickly shift to third. Problem started when car had about 1000 miles on it. Car was checked out by a ford dealer and I was told it was normal and nothing could be done.
Manual transmission started to become difficult to shift into gear at random times at around 6000 miles. Problem seems to be getting worse, involving grinds, and at times difficulty even getting into certain gears. I can see where this could be a serious safety issue, ie: pulling into fast traffic, and not being able to properly engage gears. Manufacturer offers no solution so far, advises "normal" characteristics for this car.
