Rack and pinion steering went completely out on vehicle causing car to crash into guardrail of a bridge. Car was in motion about to cross bay bridge when this happened, safety of driver and other vehicles was compromised. Car wars trying to turn right heading toward the bridge when rack and pinion failed car was stopped by hitting guardrail about 45 miles an hour. Starter had to be replaced the very next month also problems with transmission. All of this has been repaired by owner.
The paint began to fail and I contacted honda's website as directed to find all issues (recall and TSB - technical service bulletins) and there were no items. From 2015 on we would check. Then I found an article that said it was covered under an extended paint warranty. I was never contacted. I called honda and they declined to fix it saying that I purchased it used. They gave me a $7000 quote to fix the car. They said because I bought it used, they did not have to contact me.
Yhe weatherproofing strips of all my windows are melting and coming off. One already did. I dont live in a very hot city. Im afraid it will allow water to leak in door and get to electronics and mess up window function. If window goes out you wouldnt be able to roll window down if an emergency arises which would be a major safety hazard. An a rank in the automotive industry
