The decedent is a 3 month old female infant who was a passenger in a 1999 honda odyssey van. The infant was secured in a baby trend flex loc infant car seat (manufactured in 062809 hh, model # cs31029) and the base of the car seat was secured to a seat belt. The rear of the van was impacted by another vehicle, which caused the carrier to separate from the base. The infant, who was secured to the carrier, was ejected from the vehicle as a result of the impact.
1st dealer roadtest ok, 2nd dealer technician roadtest check ok "you must go" 3th no body hears my reason, sometime , goto stop sign stop car, but it cant 100% stop , it still power output . (DOT number: 96t m+s tiresize: p215/65r16)
The consumer was rear ended and pushed into the vehicle in front. The front seats collapsed along with the middle row seat backs, and the air bags did not deploy. *scc
Driver power seat base broke making the seat unstable and unsafe. The vehicle is undrivable. If there was an accident, the seat belt would keep me from going forward, but then the seat would jolt back and most likely flip me backwards into the seat behind me or my child if he were in the seat!
Dt*: the contact stated the sliding door on the driver side would not latch. There was a NHTSA recall, # 99v158000, regarding the latches/locks/linkages:doors:latch. The vehicle was not included in the recall due to the VIN. Updated 10/25/2006 - on one occasion the door open while the vehicle was in motion.
