My daughter & her friend were in an auto accident. The friend was in the passenger seat. Upon impact, the seat belt mechanism apparently broke and did not keep the passenger from being thrust forward & having impact with the vehicle resulting in a concussion.
January 5th, 2009 I was involved in an accident that I believe was directly linked to the brake issue with my 2007 honda odyssey. I have previously reported the "soft and mushy" brakes to this site and to the local honda dealer multiple times. On the evening of the accident, I should have had plenty of time to stop after the panic stop of a car in front of me, due to another turning driver. However, the brakes went to the floor and did not stop the van in time.
I was driving my 2007 honda odyssey. As I was coming to a stop, I became involved in an accident. Over the recent weeks I thought it was taking longer to stop my van, but had my van in for service the week before. I was assure that everything was fine and all fluid levels were correct. ***note: on my first service visit the service adviser told me that I should not be concerned about brake fluid levels that the van would notify me when it was time to replace the breaks and that the van was designed to do so.
Tl*the contact owns a 2007 honda odyssey. The contact stated that the antilock brakes were failing on her vehicle. The vehicle does not stop when the brake pedal is depressed and rolls four to five additional feet before finally stopping. If the vehicle is on an incline, it rolls back even though she is depressing the brake pedal. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and they stated that the brakes were designed to perform in that manner.
I was in a long line of cars waiting to leave a parking lot after an event. At one point, after about 10 minutes in line, I briefly inched the car forward and then put my foot on the brake. With my foot firmly on the brake, the engine speed unexpectedly starting increasing quickly on its own. When the speed hit 5000 RPM and with my foot still firmly on the brake, I put the car in neutral to prevent it from possibly moving forward. Then I turned the engine off.
