During morning traffic my hyundai 2002 accent gs was hit from the rear. The collision caused my seat to collapse. The seat collapsing caused my body to travel towards the rear of the car. I struck another vehicle with the front of my car which caused my body to go forward. I notified hyundai about the incident in writing and there response was that the seat was designed to absorb the impact and that they had no other comment on the matter. This was not a matter of absorbing an impact.
The passenger air bag dash indicator was lit indicating that the air bag was off when my wife (170 lbs) was seated & buckled in. I was also able to duplicate this condition (238 lbs). The dealer planet hyundai in golden co could not detect a problem. My wife & I later duplicated the problem which was witnessed by a service associate [xxx].
Sun visors are broken on both the driver and passenger sides. I've been looking on the web this morning and am amazed by how many other people seem to have the same issue with their visors. It's really quite problematic as these both don't function properly now and hinder visibility from inside this rather small car. The driver side visor is hanging from what looks like some type of cord on the left hand side. I am unable to secure it back up and it is constantly flapping around.
