Tl* the contact owns a 2009 hyundai accent. While making a right turn at approximately 10 MPH, the steering wheel seized without warning. As a result, the contact crashed into another vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed. The driver and passengers of the other vehicle sustained unknown injuries that required medical attention. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the power steering column failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired.
Tl* the contact owns a 2009 hyundai accent. The contact stated they were raising the rear seats and her finger was sliced off. The contact stated the compartment you pull the seats back into place was very sharp. The contact had the tip of the middle finger on her right hand sliced off. The contact stated the failure was a safety issue because the latch was very sharp. The failure and current mileage was 33,000.
It started runing bad I pull over smoke comeing from fire wall I put it out /next day I started it and turn it off/ the check engine light is on/ only 54000.00 miles/thank you/runing on the highway
I own two hyundai accents, a 2008 and this, a 2009. Now both have had the same problem with the brake light switch becoming inoperative. Fortunately, the lack of brake lights was noticed before any accidents occurred, and the vehicles were taken to the dealer and were repaired at no charge. It seems that the recall for 2006 and 2007 should have been extended to the 2008 and 2009 accent models (plus any others using the same brake light switch).
The driver side airbag off light came on and stays while the car is on. The passenger side airbag off warning light has been faulty for several years now- it sometimes turns on when there is an adult passenger sitting properly in the passenger seat with a seatbelt on. This is intermittent; however it happens fairly often for the past several years when there is a passenger sitting there. A few days ago, the driver side airbag warning light illuminated.
