What owners wrote
A few complaints as filed, shortened and with personal details removed. The first ones are among the most serious reports for this model year; the rest are typical.
I was driving approximately 20MPH when I heard a breaking noise from underneath my 2010 hyundai accent when I lost steering power, the brakes didn't work and the accelerator as well. This caused me to lose control of my car resulting in me crashing into another parked vehicle. Thank god it wasn't on a hwy going 65-70 MPH. I see there aren't any recalls on any of the mentioned problems.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 hyundai accent. The contact stated that the front passenger air bag warning light illuminated constantly whether a person was occupying the seat or not. The vehicle was taken to the dealer three times for the failure where they replaced the air bag sensor however, the light continued to illuminate. The manufacturer was not notified. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 27,460.
The brake lamp switch became defective intermittently, approximately 10,000 miles ago. It has now failed completely. Apparently I am not the only one experiencing this problem: [link removed] this is a serious problem, so I wanted you to know.
