Reported at 1,000 miles, December 2013 CrashInjury

For the second time in 2 weeks the power steering assist steering failed while driving the vehicle. The instrument cluster gives a "power steering warning" and all hydraulic assistance fails. Within a few minutes of this happening, the engine also gets hot. I live n the texas hill country. This failure results a large increase in steering effort on the local hilly and curved roads and the ability to take evasive maneuvers if some of the many local wild animals cross the road in front of me.
