"takata recall!" recieved recall letter in jan. 2016. Everytime I call dealership im told parts are not in. My car already stopped running and I had to have it towed into a mechanic where he knew that the fuel injection issue was a recall. I had to pay him $100.00 for taking my car apart and telling me it was a familiar issue he had when working on another VW..and that I should call VW and ask if there was a recall. Of course, there was. I then had to pay for a 2nd tow from that shop to VW.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 volkswagen cc. The contact indicated that the water was leaking through the vents and the dashboard. The vehicle was taken to the authorized dealer and it was diagnosed that the cowl area system malfunctioned and water leaked into the interior of the vehicle instead of draining out. The dealer replaced the right side of the cowl area system. The contact stated that the failure caused internal damage to the vehicle and electrical shorts.
Fuel pump module and takata inflators while driving on the freeway on the way to work my car ended up losing power and completely shutting down while in motion. The sudden loss of power shut off all of my lights inside and out. As soon as this happens I begin to press on my brakes only to notice that my brakes felt like they were lacking pressure. The lack of pressure on the rotars made it very difficult to slow down and with there being no power also made it difficult to turn the wheel.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 volkswagen cc. The contact stated that water would enter the vehicle whenever it rained through all four doors. In addition, the windows could not be opened or closed, and when they were able to be closed they did not do so properly. The vehicle was taken several times to the dealer where they adjusted the windows but to no avail. The manufacturer was notified and a claim was filed. The failure mileage was 9,000 and the current mileage was 39,000.
