Tl* the contact owned a 2015 chevrolet corvette. The contact stated while at a stop light, a 2008 toyota tundra crashed into the vehicle. The vehicle was dragged several feet and was towed to an independent lot. The air bags failed to deploy. There was no reported fire. The contact sustained injuries to the head and ears that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure.
The computer isn't allowing me to check off the other issues. The brakes were the other thing that couldn't be checked off. The vehicle went off the road and the brakes locked and now the vehicle is totaled. Had I been notified about these recalls this would not have happened.
The a8 automatic transmission in the 2015 corvette is prone to occasional hard downshifts from 2nd to 1st gear when driving at slow speeds (less than 10 MPH). Sometimes the downshifts are so violent that the car jerks forward several feet. The first time it happened I thought I had been rear ended by another car. The unpredictable behavior of the transmission is especially dangerous in proximity to pedestrians or other vehicles.
The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Corvette. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH, the vehicle started to overheat. The contact pulled over and turned off the vehicle to allow the vehicle to cool down. The vehicle was able to cool down and then operated normally. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that the radiator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and the contact was informed that the vehicle was not under recall.
