My father died after having a accident in his truck on 11/8/18. I believe it is attributed to the recent recall , leading to him dying after being pulled out through the windshield and collapsed afterwards. The stress from this accident attributed to his death.
Tl* the contact owns a 2016 chevrolet silverado 1500. While driving approximately 45 MPH and attempting to merge to the right lane, the contact crashed into the rear of another vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. There was no warning indicator illuminated. A police report was filed. The contact sustained a minor injury that did not require medical attention. The contact's vehicle sustained front end damage and was towed. The body damage was repaired. The contact was not sure if the manufacturer was notified.
Air conditioning system stopped working only blows hot air. Called dealer about the problem after I learned this has been an ongoing problem. Chevy will not cover this problem under warranty. When I told them this was an ongoing problem starting with 2014 models I was told they never heard of this. I was all so told that because I don't have all my service work done with them they really don't feel they need to cut me a brake I would have to pay full price for repair.
A/C unit does not work. Recharge the system and it leaks out. Gm/chevrolet knows of the issue and has recalled other models using the same equipment. Not on the chevrolet silverado models. No mention of leaks or issues by the dealership during regular maintenance. On june 20th 2020 I paid to have the system recharged, didnt blow really cold but gradually it got warmer, now it blows hot air.
