2014 ford f250 sd xlt srx 4x4 and rv were totaled due to a not-at-fault accident. Unable to get vehicle replaced. The consumer and his father were sitting in a driveway, when they were hit by another motorist. ...video available
While driving on a residential street I needed to make a quick stop. The speed was about 25 MPH. The distance was 15 to 20 feet. The vehicle should have made a complete stop but didn't resulting in an accident. I've been to the dealership on several occasions since I purchased the vehicle. The first visit I was told a part was needed and it was replaced. The other visits I was told nothing was found. I was attempting to locate a different dealership before the incident.
When attempting to get on freeway after being at rest area we suddenly lost all power fuel pressure and speed, at night as well now we were pulling a fifth wheel trailer and that's a little dangerose and scary since my father is 65 disabled and I'm disabled also we had to wait for hours truck just stopped and died, barely got off freeway.
High pressure fuel pump went out and sent metal through the fuel lines into the injectors. I was driving down the highway when the pump went out and the truck shutdown while I was still moving. This isn't so much a safety recall but I have spoken to many other 6.7 diesel owners and the same has happened to them. Ford wants $9000 to fix and says this happens to a lot of the 6.7's . I am lodging the complaint in the hopes of your board enforcing a recall. That is my only reason
I bought this vehicle in dec. 2017 with 17,000 miles on it, and it now has 30,000 miles on it. On feb 11,12 while driving in akron ohio at around 65 MPH I hit a bump and the front end started shaking so fiercely I could hardly control the truck. My wife was with me and was terrified. If she was driving it she would have never been able to control it and would probably been involved in a horrible and most likely a fatal accident.
