Tl* the contact owns a 2016 ford fusion hybrid. While driving 35 MPH, the vehicle stalled. The contact was able to restart the vehicle after some time. The contact was unsure of which warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that a module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 9,000. The VIN was unavailable.
The car is less than a month old, mileage is 1700. On two occasions, the car had died. All of the instrument panels light up and the check engine light comes on. After a few minutes the car can be restarted. This is a safety issue especially when it dies in heavy traffic on the freeway. I had just exited the freeway both times when the car just died. I know ford had problems with the throttle body on the fiesta. They denied there was a problem for a long time. I am taking it in on wednesday.
This car is the second fusion hybrid I have. The 2015 and 2016 hybrid titanium had the same issues. I changed one for the other in hope the problem would be gone. Almost everytime I drive in low speeds, circa 15MPH up to 30MPH on unleveled pavement with setts the following lights turn on: advance trac, ABS, hill assistant control. Whilst those lights are on, none of those functions works. As it happened in 2015 and still happens in my 2016. Ive complaint to ford, but they never gave me a solution.
