I was driving my 2009 cadillac srx. Another vehicle ran a stop sign and struck me on the driver's side. The point of impact was on the left front wheel and the left front door. The side airbags failed to deploy inspite of extensive damage to the vehicle. The frame was bent, the door would not open and the car was not drivable. The repair costs are estimated @7500.

The chrome overlay on the inside door handle separated from the base metal of the door handle exposing a sharp edge on the inner side of the door handle, which cannot be readily visible until you pull on the handle when trying to open the door from the inside. The chrome overlay peeled up slightly exposing a sharp edge of the chrome that could cut the hand.
At 70,000 miles my check engine light went on. I immediately took it to my mechanic who said it's the timing chain. He now has my car completely torn apart so he can fix the outrageously expensive issue.
