My 2006 chrysler pacifica has severe case of "wind buffering noise". Any time you roll a rear window down while driving at any speed it sounds as if there is a helicopter landing on the back seat. I notified my dealer several times and they say there isn't much they can do. It is a huge safety hazard driving down the road if you accidentally roll the window down. There is 3200 miles on the car and the dealer pretty much said oh well!
Traveling at 35 - 40 MPH and cars came to a stop and no matter how hard I pushed the brakes, the car would not stop. Steering wheel and under steering wheel airbags deployed, burning my shin. Upon starting the car at the body shop, the dashboard caught on fire due to the airbag modular. Fire destroyed my vehicle.
I was in a rearended in a collision that the driver behind me was driving 50-55MPH and did not see I was stopped for a light. My back was injured(herniated discs and leg swelling and bruising) because my airbag did not go off and my drivers seat broke sending me back a ways in the 2007 pacifica.
Took car in for oil change, mechanic told me that the engine cradle was showing some pretty severe rust issues. Was told that I would have to repair this soon, or risk having the engine drop out of the enclosing compartment. Repair estimated at $4500, which at this point is more than the car is worth. Contacted chrysler, they said that there is no recall on this problem, so I was responsible for all repairs. Some research on the internet shows that this is a known and pretty widespread problem.
