(1) my 2005 chrysler pacifica was involved in a side impact collision. The other vehicle collided in to the rear dirvers side door. The door was impacted at speeds of over 15-20 MPH. (2) the concern for me is that side curtain air bags did not deploy in the impact. My friends child was injured with glass cuts to the face and arm. (3) I have filed a complaint with chrysler #13501933.
Tl* the contact owns a 2005 chrysler pacifica. While driving 55 MPH, the contact attempted to drive around an unknown object in the road and lost control of the vehicle crashing into a guardrail. The contact and the passenger were knocked unconscious upon impact and the air bags did not deploy. In addition, the seat belts did not restrain the occupants in their seats. The contact sustained broken ribs and a head injury. The passenger sustained a severe head injury and a broken wrist. A police report was filed.
While turning into the bank parking lot at 10MPH the car just stalled. I was unable to brake or steer out the way. When gas gauge reads empty I am unable to fill the tank with gas as it begins to spill back out. Gas gauge reads 1/2 full when it is really empty? Miles to empty sensor incorrect therefore I have no idea when I need gas. Driver side exterior headlamp seems dimmer than the other lamp.
Went in for annual inspection on 2005 pacifica. Mechanic reported rusted sub frame; everything else is fine; mileage is about 130000. Service center informed me this is a known issue by chrysler. Excellent article on it too: [link removed] I called chrysler and they said my vehicle falls outside the narrow window they recalled so I am not eligible for any warranty. They could not give me any reason why the recall window was limited to a 6 week period.
