Takata recall- on may 27 2016 we were involved in an accident in our 2015 chevrolet suburban. 2 of the 4 passengers passed away. We were ran off the of road and hit twice by a truck pulling a trailer. All airbags except the front passenger and drivers front airbag deployed. This occurred while the vehicle was in motion. We crossed northbound lanes and came to a complete stop about 10 feet off of the roadway.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that while coming to a stop in traffic, another vehicle crashed into the rear of the contact's vehicle. The contact stated that smoke came out of the side air bags, but they failed to deploy. The air bag warning light illuminated. The contact sustained head injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was taken to an auto repair center. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired.
My condenser went out at 96k. I contacted GM and they stated that they had a recall on the condenser. Took the vehicle in to a gm/chevrolet dealership and they began to inform me that the recall only is for vehicles less than 60k. They stated that GM knows there is a problem but due to mileage my vehicle is not covered. Due to living in the south I can not afford to have a car and not have air. So we fixed the condenser out of pocket.
