Vehicle fire - while driving my 2015 jeep grand cherokee ecodiesel, the vehicle lost power on a city street and spontaneously caught fire. The fire quickly filled the cabin with chemicals and smoke. There were no warning signs and luckily, due to the cold temperatures, the fire was put out before myself and the other occupant were burnt up in the car. After two weeks of investigations by the dealership and fiat chrysler, there is still no determination of the cause.

The front passenger suffered injuries to the right side. The rear passenger sustained injuries to the left side and face.

Reported at 12,200 miles, October 2015 CrashInjury

On April 23rd at 9:28pm I was driving my Jeep Grand Cherokee 2015 on a highway at approximately 45mph when suddenly the transmission slipped to neutral without any human interference. I tried shifting it back to drive but the transmission did not respond. The Jeep lost momentum very quickly and came to a complete stop in the highway. As soon as it went to a complete stop it locked itself in parking position and l lost all ability to put it back to drive.

April 2021 CrashInjury

I was driving my 2015 jeep grand cherokee 70MPH on the highway when my active front headrest deployed. No collision or accident occurred. My neck is sore now, but no medical attention was required.

Reported at 49,000 miles, October 2018 Injury

I got into my parked vehicle after work, and noticed the passenger headrest was pushed forward, which was not the case when I parked it to go into work. Upon further inspection, the plastic bracket that holds the headrest in appeared to be broken. This is a safety hazard as I am now worried that the driver headrest will also pop and lead to a collision. This is not the first reported incidence of this occuring, and it needs to become a recall.
